Attività di ricerca
Chiara Ardito is PhD student in Economics at the University of Torino. Chiara’s main research interest is on the social determinants of health and well-being, focusing on health inequalities produced by job and career influences.
Her current research deals with the impact of career (and life) shocks like job loss and retirement on the development of cardiovascular diseases and depression, and on the evaluation of policy interventions aimed to mitigate such health inequalities.
Much of her research is on psychosocial factors and stress at work and its effects on health, absenteeism and presenteeism.
Since 2010, Chiara is also teaching assistant at the International Labour Organization (ILO) for the Master in Applied Labour Economics for Development.
Before entering academic life, she participated to several field-level development projects in Bosnia and Brazil as volunteer, and in Tanzania as Project Coordinator.
